About BerBer Select
BerBer Select is a real estate acquisitions firm. We work directly with homeowners around the country who, for one reason or another, want to step out of a property without dealing with the traditional listing process. We buy houses ourselves, and we work with a network of investors who buy them as well.
How we think about this work
The county dictates timelines. The bank dictates pressure. The market dictates price. BerBer Select helps homeowners make their own plans.
Most homeowners who contact us are working around a deadline that somebody else set — a lender, a county, a court, an employer. We cannot change those deadlines. What we can do is be straight about what is possible inside them.
Our advisors are consultants first. They are not there to pressure anyone into a decision, and they are expected to say so plainly when selling to us is not the best available option. That is the standard we hold them to.
We do not charge homeowners a fee. The economics of a cash purchase are explained plainly on our How It Works page — the fixed-up value of the house, minus the work and the costs, minus the spread an investor needs for the project to be worth doing.
Some of the houses we contract we keep and close on ourselves. Others we place with an investor in our network who is a better fit for that specific property. We tell homeowners that at the start rather than at the closing table, and either way the price and the dates in the agreement do not move.
What we are not
We are not real estate agents or brokers, and we are not offering to list your property. We are not a lender, a law firm, a tax adviser, or a government or non-profit programme. If what you actually need is one of those, we will tell you so.
We do not invent pressure
You will not hear “this offer expires today” or “we only have one slot left this week” from us. The pressure in these situations is structural — a county, a bank, a court, a market — and it is real enough without anyone manufacturing more of it. Our job is to be clear about the deadlines that actually exist.
